Introduction to chrysanthemums, when do they bloom?

1. Introduction

1. Family: Chrysanthemum is a flower with a relatively long history in my country. It is also one of the four gentlemen flowers and is native to Henan, China. It is a perennial herb belonging to the Asteraceae family and the genus Chrysanthemum. It is also called Jinying, Huanghua, Qiuju, Shouke, Yinyihua, and Jiaju.

2. Morphology: The plant is about 60-150 cm tall, with a relatively upright stem covered with a layer of soft hairs. The leaves are alternate, ovate to lanceolate in shape, with serrated or deeply fissured edges. The flowers have various postures and are quite different. The colors are very rich, including orange, purple, red, pink, dark red, yellow, white, etc. The shapes of the petals are also varied and quite beautiful.

3. Habits: Chrysanthemum has a strong adaptability. It is a short-day plant and likes to grow under sunlight. It is difficult to grow normally in a dark and shady environment. It is relatively drought-resistant and afraid of waterlogging. It likes to grow in a warm environment. The most suitable temperature for its growth is around 20℃, but it can also withstand cold. Loose, fertile sandy soil is suitable for growth and cultivation, and the pH value between 6.2-6.7 is better.

2. When does it bloom?

There are many varieties of chrysanthemums, so the flowering time is also different. The most common autumn chrysanthemums in life generally bloom from September to November.
