It is a common flower in the southern region and has a strong adaptability to the environment. It can grow in some relatively poor environments.

Red Leaf Nandina domestica is a variant of Nandina domestica. The former includes the latter and has a more peculiar shape, so the two have certain similarities, but they are essentially different. The two are not the same plant, so if you look carefully, you can distinguish them.

2. Different plant heights

The plant of Nandina domestica is relatively tall. When mature, its height can reach about 1-3 meters, which is much taller than the latter variant.

The red-leafed bamboo plant is shorter and has different heights, ranging from about 60 to 120 centimeters. If you want to distinguish it, you can judge by the height.

3. Different flowering and fruiting periods

The flowers and fruits of Nandina domestica look similar, but the flowering and fruiting periods are different. Its flowering period is from March to June each year, and its fruiting period is around May to November.

The flowering period of red-leafed bamboo is from May to July every year, and the fruiting period is from August to October, and it lasts for a long time.
