How to grow calla lily on the balcony, what should you pay attention to

1. Can it be grown on the balcony?

Calla lily is a very popular plant, but it does not require much light and can be placed on a north-facing balcony or on a shaded south-facing balcony. As long as the light is given reasonably, it will be helpful for growth and can promote growth. Note that in spring, summer and autumn, no direct sunlight can be given. More than 40% of the light needs to be blocked, and only scattered light can be exposed. Especially in summer, strong light cannot be accepted to prevent burning of branches and leaves. In winter, the light intensity becomes smaller, and direct light can be accepted, which can also increase its own temperature.

2. How to maintain

1. Water: Water frequently during the growing period. When the temperature drops in winter, you need to reduce the application of water. Do not give too much water to prevent a large amount of water accumulation in the potting soil or direct freezing of the roots and rhizomes.

2. Fertilization: Fertilization needs to be applied reasonably, about once every 15 days. Special liquid fertilizer can be used. Note that no fertilizer should be applied during flowering.

3. Temperature: It grows better between 15-25 degrees. If the temperature reaches about 30 degrees, it is necessary to spray water in time to cool it down. If it is below 6 degrees in winter, anti-freeze measures must be taken.
