Bacterial canker, rot

When many yellowish circular spots appear on the bulb, bacterial scab should be considered. The spots will eventually turn brown, with raised edges and lowered centers, and a gelatinous substance will gradually separate from the spots. As the disease progresses, the rhizomes gradually rot and the leaves wither. They should be discarded in time and the bulbs should be slightly damaged to prevent the disease from spreading.

Leaf spot

When fungal leaf spot occurs, special irregular spots will appear on the leaves. The spots are the same size as cakes and fertilizers, healed together, and dark brown with a little gray. The disease often occurs in the upper half of the leaf tip. You can spray a measured amount of Bordeaux liquid for prevention and control, and burn the harmful leaves in time.

Fungal wilt

Its initial symptoms are yellowing of leaves, wilting, drying up and death. The dead leaves are yellow or white. It is caused by fungus infecting the bulb, with yellow-brown spots on the surface of the bulb and dark brown in the middle. This disease can be prevented by soaking the bulbs in benomyl for about 15-30 minutes and applying the medicinal treatment, and then drying the bulbs.

Dry rot

It is a fungal disease type, and countless black and hard sclerotia will appear at the base of the leaves or on the outer skin of the bulb. The lesions are round and usually sunken. Do not store bulbs in a cold, humid environment, otherwise dry rot will occur and the affected bulbs will eventually become rigid and turn black.

Mosaic

It is an iris leaf virus that mainly uses ginger flowers as its host. Remove the plants immediately after discovery.
