1. Water depth and water quality

For water lilies, they are generally grown in water, so there are some requirements for water depth and water quality. The water depth should be controlled between 30 and 50 centimeters, and the maximum depth should not exceed 60 centimeters. In addition, the water quality requirement is first of all cleanliness, and then the pH requirement, which should be within the range of six to seven, that is, slightly acidic or neutral water.

2. Humidity

The humidity of its growing environment is best at around 50 percent. If it is particularly dry, you need to increase the humidity by spraying water, etc.

3. Temperature

Water lilies like warmth, and the best temperature is between 22 and 26 degrees. Its cold resistance is not very good and the temperature should be kept above ten degrees in winter to ensure that it does not get frostbite. In summer, the temperature should not be too high, not exceeding 35 degrees. Otherwise, the water will evaporate very quickly and the plant may wither.

4. Lighting

Water lilies like mild light, and daily sunlight is helpful for their growth and flowering. However, in summer, the maintenance task is to avoid too strong light, as too strong light will cause its leaves to turn black.

5. Fertilization

When fertilizing water lilies, various types of liquid fertilizers are generally used. Every time you change the water, you can add a few drops into the water. During the growth period, it is necessary to fertilize once a month with decomposed liquid fertilizer. Generally speaking, you can gradually reduce the amount of fertilizer in autumn, and no fertilizer is needed in winter.
