The difference of flowers

Although both white magnolia and white orchid are white in color, the flowers of white magnolia are odorless, while the flowers of white orchid have a fresh and pleasant fragrance. In addition, the flowers of white magnolia are relatively large, rounder and fuller in shape, and snow-white in color, while the flowers of white jasmine are relatively small in comparison, the buds are somewhat like the tip of a brush, the flowers are slender in shape, and the color is milky white. The flowers of white jasmine grow between the leaf axils, while the flowers of white magnolia generally grow at the tips of branches.

Different flowering periods

Magnolia is also known as the Spring Flower in the folks. Magnolia blooms in spring and only once a year, while jasmine can bloom twice a year, in summer and autumn. It blooms more in summer and less in autumn.

Different tree shapes

Magnolia trees are generally two to three meters tall, and can reach a maximum height of fifteen meters. Magnolias are relatively tall, with potted magnolias reaching three to four meters. The normal height is generally around seventeen to twenty meters. The leaves of the white orchid tree are oval and long, large, green and shiny, without any fuzz, and have clear leaf patterns. The leaves of the white magnolia tree are relatively small and oval, smooth on the top and covered with velvet on the bottom. There is also velvet on the petioles. The young branches and buds of the white magnolia are covered with a layer of fine velvet. Young branches of the white orchid tree tend to be green, while those of the white magnolia tree are tan like the rest of the branches.
