How to grow Lespedeza well

How to grow Lespedeza well

1. Maintenance methods

1. Temperature: It has a very strong ability to resist cold and can withstand normal temperatures. It can spend the winter outside without being affected. Even an environment of minus 30 degrees Celsius will not have any effect on it. However, during the growth period, the temperature needs to be controlled above five degrees, otherwise the growth will stagnate and it will not bloom.

2. Watering: It likes moist soil, but there should be no stagnant water. Especially in the rainy season, drainage should be done well, as floods will drown the plants. At the same time, in other seasons, make sure to water it thoroughly when the soil is dry. In summer, you can increase the amount of watering to prevent it from dying due to lack of water.

3. Light: It has a very strong adaptability to light, and there is no need to worry about it being sunburned by the strong light in summer. It can be grown outdoors. However, if it is grown indoors for a long time and has not been exposed to strong light, it cannot be moved outdoors all of a sudden. It will not be able to withstand the flickering light and will die.

4. Fertilization: The growth ability of the plant is very strong, so you can apply enough base fertilizer before planting, and it is completely okay not to apply fertilizer afterwards. You can also apply some fertilizer and water during the subsequent breeding process, so that it grows more vigorously.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: Sowing is the main method of reproduction. You can sow the seeds in spring and autumn. Before sowing, you need to soak the seeds in 50-degree hot water for a day until the seeds are fully expanded before sowing. The temperature for seed germination is between 25 and 30 degrees.

2. Pruning: It has strong adaptability and does not require much pruning. Just observe its growth. Cut off any yellowing or withered branches and leaves directly. Pruning should not be too heavy because its plant shape is relatively short.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Disease: Root rot occurs from March to April every year. This disease will directly lead to the death of the plant and can be controlled by using wettable powder.

2. Pests: Aphids will occur, and you can spray dichlorvos solution to prevent them.

IV. Other issues

1. Toxicity: It is non-toxic, has medicinal effects, and can be cultivated.

2. Can it be raised at home? Yes. If it is raised at home, it cannot be moved directly outdoors during the hot summer weather, otherwise it will die.
