Cultivation methods and precautions of Forsythia

Cultivation methods and precautions of Forsythia

1. Soil

When planting, be sure to choose suitable soil. Forsythia does not have too high requirements for cultivation soil, as long as the soil is not too sticky, it can be used. However, it would be better to use softer soil with good drainage, which is not only conducive to plant breathing, but also can avoid the formation of water accumulation.

2. Lighting

The plant is more suitable for growing in an environment with sufficient light. Therefore, whether it is grown indoors or outdoors, it is necessary to ensure that the plant can see the sunlight. However, it can also tolerate partial shade, so there is no need to worry even if the sunlight is not very good, but do not keep it in a too dark place.

3. Hydration

During the cultivation period, the cultivation soil should be avoided from being too dry, so water should be added in time to ensure that there is a certain amount of moisture in the potting soil so that the plant can grow better. Pay special attention to the amount of watering. It should not be too much, otherwise there will be excess water accumulation and the Forsythia will easily rot its roots. In addition, drainage should be done properly after rainy days.

IV. Precautions

Proper pruning is essential for plant growth. Regular pruning is very beneficial to its growth, which is also something that most people tend to overlook. Note that the main thing is to cut off the branches that are growing in a disorderly manner, dry, weak, and infested by diseases and insects. This will not only increase ventilation, but also help the growth of new branches.
