How to sow orchids

Select pot

Choose a tall, unglazed new ceramic pot with feet and porous bottom and edges, and soak it in clean water. Such a pot has better water retention and air permeability.

Use clean foam or large expanded clay to pad the pot, about 5 cm thick. Then fill the pot with 50% fine sand and 50% culture soil and mix them.

Seed Soaking

Use rice vinegar and fungicide, add water and put the seeds in it, soak for 24 hours, take out, wash in clean water, then absorb the moisture with paper and dry in the sun.

Sprinkle the seeds evenly on the soil surface of a special pot, then spray the seed soaking solution to wet the pot surface. As for the spray liquid, you can go to the flower market and ask. There are many options and the effects are similar.

Maintenance

After sowing, set up a stand on the top of the flowerpot, then cover it with a plastic bag and poke a few small holes in the plastic bag to facilitate ventilation.

Place the flower pot in a place with scattered light, and pay attention to cooling and frost prevention. It takes a long time for orchid seeds to germinate, usually 4 to 6 months, so be patient!
