Vegetables suitable for growing in winter

1. Spinach

Spinach is very cold-resistant and is very suitable for planting in winter. Even in the cold north, you can sow some seeds in the fields and eat fresh vegetables. However, the growth rate of seedlings is very slow under low temperatures, and they can only grow rapidly after the temperature rises.

2. Coriander

Coriander can also be planted in winter. If the temperature is too low, you can cover it with a layer of straw or plastic cloth. This can keep it warm and moist and promote the growth of seedlings. In addition, it is also suitable to be planted in autumn so that it can be eaten in winter.

3. Radish

All varieties of radish are relatively cold-resistant, and you can plant either carrots or white radishes. Even if the temperature drops to around 5 degrees, it will not affect the germination of underground root tubers. Eating more radishes in winter is better for your health.

4. Chinese mustard

As its name suggests, it can be planted in winter. It is extremely cold-resistant and will not be frozen to death in the late germination stage as long as the temperature is above 15 degrees, so it is often planted in winter.

5. Garlic

Garlic does not like high temperature environment. It is mostly planted in a cool environment. It will germinate normally when the temperature is below 3 degrees. The climate in the south is relatively warmer, so crops are usually grown in the open field.
