Anthurium cultivation method

Anthurium cultivation method

1. Loose soil

Soil with a looser texture is more suitable for breeding. At home, you can mix peat soil, leaf bran and perlite in a ratio of 3:2:1. The mixture is very suitable and provides a good foundation for its growth.

2. Control room temperature

In summer, you need to increase ventilation and spray more water to lower the temperature. Move it indoors and heat it in winter. The optimal temperature for growth is around 20-25 degrees, should not exceed 35 degrees and should not be lower than 14 degrees. If the difference is too large, it will damage the growth of the plant.

3. Lighting control

It is a shade-loving plant and is usually placed in a place with scattered light for maintenance. Placing it under direct light is a taboo for its maintenance. If the light is too strong, the leaves will start to turn yellow and wither, so avoid this and control the light.

4. Proper moisture

In summer, the plant needs more water, so water it every two days. To increase the humidity, you can also use a small spray bottle to spray the leaves. In cold winter, watering can be changed to once every 5-7 days. In spring and autumn, once every three days is enough. For watering, you can use tap water that has been allowed to stand.

4. Proper nutrients

The application of fertilizer needs to be reasonable, and the type can be water-soluble. It should be applied every three days when the growth is vigorous.
