The difference between bamboo and bamboo

1. Difference

Rice bamboo and Phoenix palm are actually the same plant, but they have different names in different regions. It belongs to the Poaceae family and is a variety of filial bamboo. Its origin is in East China, South China, Southwest China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other places.

2. Morphological characteristics

The plant of Phoenix Bamboo is relatively tall, usually 3 to 6 meters high. The bamboo trunk is hollow, and the branches have 9 to 13 leaves, which are slightly curved downward and 1.5 to 2.5 centimeters in diameter. Its tip is nearly straight or slightly curved, and the lower part is straight and green. The internodes are about 30 to 50 centimeters long and are covered with white powder when young. The branches grow from the second or third node at the base, usually in clusters. The leaf ears are kidney-shaped with long wavy hairs on the edges.
