The difference between hexagonal lotus and octagonal lotus

1. Differences in the stems

The Hexagonal Lotus plant is relatively short, with a height of about 20 to 60 cm, and sometimes can reach 80 cm.

The plant of the octagonal lotus is taller, about 40 to 150 cm in height, and the stem is light green.

2. The difference of leaves

The leaves of the Hexagonal Lotus are slightly larger, about 16 to 33 cm in diameter, with 5 to 9 shallow cracks on the edges. The cracks are triangular-ovate, dark green and shiny on the top, light yellow-green on the back, and hairless on both sides. The petiole is about 10 to 28 cm long.

The leaves of the octagonal lotus are about 30 cm in diameter, oval or oval-oblong, about 2.5 to 4 cm long, about 5 to 7 cm wide, with 4 to 9 shallow cracks on the edge, the cracks are broad triangular, the upper petiole is 1 to 3 cm long, and the lower petiole is about 12 to 25 cm long.

The flowers of the hexagonal lotus grow in the center.

The flowers of the octagonal lotus grow near the base.
