Hibiscus Pest Control

Hibiscus Pest Control

Hibiscus aphid

Aphids are one of the most common insect pests of hibiscus, mainly attacking the branches and leaves of hibiscus. Aphids can also cause many other diseases that are harmful to hibiscus, such as sooty mold.

Solution

When the hibiscus planted in the courtyard grows poorly and the branches and leaves turn yellow, you should pay special attention. It is very likely that aphids are causing trouble. To treat aphids, you need to spray 40% omethoate liquid to kill them.

Hibiscus white-star beetle

The white-spotted scarab beetle is what we usually call "sperm beetle". Its adult will constantly bite the branches and buds of hibiscus, causing the hibiscus plant to be unable to grow and bloom normally.

Solution

When the white-spotted beetle is extremely harmful, spraying 40% omethoate can be effective in prevention and control. In addition, carrying out extensive management of the hibiscus, keeping the hibiscus well ventilated and well lit, and strengthening pruning of thin branches will play a good preventive role.

For hibiscus, other pests include red spider mites, aphids, noctuid moths, etc. I will not list them one by one here. As a plant that requires extensive management, hibiscus is generally not troubled by too many insect diseases, but if they do occur, they must be controlled in time, otherwise it will affect the ornamental value of the hibiscus. The above are common pest control methods for hibiscus. I hope my efforts will be helpful to everyone.
