Differences between mulberry and mulberry

1. Difference of blades

The leaves of the Chinese mulberry tree are obovate or ovate in shape, about 5-13 cm long, with a blunt or acuminate tip, a cuneate or rounded base, and an entire or 3-lobed edge. The top is dark green and the bottom is light green.

The leaves of the mulberry tree are ovate or broadly ovate, gradually pointed or acute at the apex, rounded at the base and then shallowly cordate, with serrated edges. The color is slightly brighter than the former, bright green.

2. Fruit Difference

The fruit of the mulberry tree is spherical in shape, orange-yellow or orange-red in color, and slightly wrinkled on the surface. The fruiting period is from September to October.

The mulberry tree also produces multiple fruits, which are oval in shape and dark purple or red in color when ripe. The fruiting period is earlier and longer than the former, from May to August.
