The difference between Ranunculus and Fennel Garlic

The difference between Ranunculus and Fennel Garlic

1. Difference of blades

The basal leaves of Rosa rugosa are kidney-shaped and round, with 3 deep lobes that do not reach the base. The lobes are obovate-cuneate and serrated. The stem leaves are similar to the basal leaves, but the upper ones are smaller and 3 completely lobed. The lobes are lanceolate and then linear, and the margins are entire and without serrations.

The leaves of anise garlic are trifoliate leaves. The basal leaves and lower leaves have long petioles and are broadly ovate. The central leaflet is deeply lobed into three parts. The lobes are narrow and long, with serrations on the upper part. The leaves on the upper part of the stem gradually become smaller.

2. The difference between flowers

Ranunculaceae has a cyme inflorescence, with oval sepals with short soft hairs on the outside, 5 petals, which are obovate and yellow in color. The receptacle will enlarge and become cylindrical during the fruiting period. The flowering period is from May to August every year.

Fennel garlic has 5 sepals, which are light green and boat-shaped, and 5 petals, which are broadly obovate and also yellow in color. The flowering period is from April to June.
