Things to note when repotting green radish

Things to note when repotting green radish

1. Pay attention to time

There is no big restriction on the time for repotting the green radish. It can be repotted in any of the four seasons of the year. However, in order to minimize the damage to the plant and help it adapt to the new pot faster, it is best to choose a period with mild climate. Spring is the best, but autumn is also acceptable. It is not recommended to change pots in summer and winter. The temperature in summer is too high and the water evaporates very quickly. If the roots are damaged, a large amount of water will be lost. The temperature is relatively low in winter, making it difficult for the plants to acclimate.

2. Pot soil selection

Repot it, and be careful to choose a suitable pot and soil. The flowerpot should be a little bigger than before, so that it can better accommodate the growth of the green radish, make it grow better, and allow the root system to stretch normally. You can choose a ceramic pot or a purple clay pot. The soil must be prepared in advance. You can use a mixture of leaf mold, sandy soil, garden soil, etc. to ensure that the soil used is loose, breathable, and rich in nutrients.

3. Depotting

Stop watering it a few days in advance and keep the soil dry, so that the soil can separate from the walls of the flowerpot. Move it to an open location, take the green radish plant out of the pot, remove the old soil attached to the roots, leaving the heart soil, and cut off the dead roots, old roots, and overly dense roots.

4. Planting in pots

Place small stones at the bottom of the flowerpot and fill it with soil. Then dig a small hole and plant the green radish in it. Cover it with soil and press it lightly. Place it in a cool and ventilated place and water it with small amounts of water to replenish moisture.
