1. Differences in tree trunks

The trunk height of green olive trees is relatively high, about 10 to 20 meters, and the tree shape is tall and majestic.

The trunk of the black olive tree is about 10 to 16 meters long and about 45 centimeters in diameter.

2. The difference of leaves

The green olive leaves are about 50 cm long, oblong in shape, with clear veins and a glossy surface.

The length of black olive leaves is about 30 to 60 cm. The net-like veins on the upper side are more obvious, and the lower side is very smooth.

3. Differences in Fruits

The fruit of green olives is spindle-shaped, about 2.5 to 4 cm in length and 1 to 1.5 cm in diameter. The surface of the fruit is brown or dark brown with irregular wrinkles.

The black olive fruit is about 3 to 4 cm long and 1.7 to 2 cm in diameter. The surface of the fruit is purple-black and it matures from May to November each year.
