Fertilization

When applying fertilizer for the first time, use a thin wooden stick to loosen the soil in the pot slightly, but be careful not to damage the roots. Apply liquid fertilizer once a week. The fertilizer should not be too concentrated. It can be applied at least once every half a month. Apply additional fertilizer to the leaves every 10 days or so, spraying with 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate, and stop immediately when the flower buds emerge from the leaves.

Waterlogging-proof and breathable

Pay attention to waterlogging prevention. Paphiopedilum is a shallow-rooted plant, and root rot is likely to occur if the potting soil is too moist. Hanging the Paphiopedilum will help the ventilation of the potting soil and the stretching of the plant's leaves.

Fill light and temperature control

When the temperature reaches around 25℃, the Paphiopedilum plants should be exposed to as much light as possible. At the same time, you should pay attention to rotating the pot so that all the plants can receive light. This will help all the plants in the pot to grow more flower buds.

In late autumn, when the outdoor temperature is below 10℃. Potted flowers need to be brought indoors in time to avoid the invasion of cold winds. Frost can cause a lot of damage to Paphiopedilum.
