The difference between cinnamon and cinnamon

The difference between cinnamon and cinnamon

1. Difference of blades

The leaves of cinnamon are opposite or alternate, oblong or lanceolate, about 5.5-11 cm long and 1.5-3 cm wide. The surface is dark green and shiny. The veins are hairy at first and fall off later, almost becoming hairless. The back is pink green with short soft hairs.

The flowers of Osmanthus fragrans are nearly opposite or alternate on the upper part of the branches, ovate-oblong to oblong-lanceolate, about 7-10 cm long and 3-3.5 cm wide, green above and gray-green below, and glabrous on both sides.

2. The difference between flowers

The panicle inflorescence of cinnamon grows below or in the axils of the current year's twigs, has short gray-yellow or light yellow hairs, rectangular lobes, an elliptical ovary, and a relatively enlarged stigma.

The panicles of Osmanthus fragrans are all axillary, glabrous, with 3-5 flowers in cymes at the end of the pedicel. The perianth lobes are oval, the ovary is ovoid, and the stigma is disc-shaped.
