The difference between guava and sugar apple

The difference between guava and sugar apple

1. Difference in appearance

Guava is a tree that can grow up to 13 meters tall. Its bark peels off in flaky, smooth gray color. There are ridges on the young branches. The sugar apple is a small deciduous tree, relatively short, about 3-5 meters tall, with thin bark that is grayish white in color and many branches.

2. Difference of blades

Guava leaves are leathery, oblong to elliptical, about 6-12 cm long and 3.5-6 cm wide. The leaf surface is rough, hairy on the underside, and has obvious network veins. The leaves of the sugar apple are thin and papery, elliptical-lanceolate or oblong, about 6-17.5 cm long and 2-7.5 cm wide. The back of the leaves are hairy at first, but will fall off and become hairless later.

3. Fruit Difference

Guava is a berry that is spherical, pear-shaped or oval, about 3-8 cm long, with persistent sepals on the top, white and yellow flesh, and a smooth surface. The sugar apple fruit is spherical or heart-shaped cone-shaped, yellow-green in color, with white powdery frost on the outside and an uneven surface.
