The difference between Ixora and Hydrangea

1. Differences in plant types

Ixora is a shrub with a height of 0.8-2m. Its branches are dark brown and shiny when young, but turn gray as it ages. The height of hydrangea is between 0.5-1m, which is shorter than that of hydrangea.

2. Difference of blades

The leaves of Ixora are lanceolate, 6-13cm long and 3-4cm wide. Its leaf tips are relatively rounded and blunt, and the veins are obvious on both sides. The leaves of hydrangea are oval in shape, 3.5-12cm long and 3-4.5cm wide. The top is relatively rounded and the veins on the sides are not easy to see clearly.

3. The difference between flowers

The Ixora has a terminal inflorescence with many flowers blooming together and a peduncle that is 5-15mm long. Its flowers are red or reddish-yellow. Hydrangea flowers are cymes and the flowers are white or blue.
