How to identify cherries

1. Branches

The cherry tree is about 2-6 meters tall and has a grayish white bark. The branches are gray-brown, the young branches are green, and the surface is smooth and hairless.

2. Blades

Cherry leaves are ovate or oblong-ovate, about 5-12 cm long and 3-5 cm wide. The surface color is bright green. The apex and tail are gradually pointed, the base is rounded, glabrous, and light green underneath.

3. Petals

The cherry inflorescence is nearly umbel-shaped, with 3-6 flowers. The involucre is obovate-elliptical and brown in color. The calyx tube is bell-shaped with soft hairs on the outside. The sepals are triangular oval or ovate-oblong. The petals are white and oval.

4. Fruit

The cherry fruit is red in color, spherical in shape, and 0.9-1.3 cm in diameter. The fruiting period is May-June.
