The difference between red plum blossoms and crabapple flowers

1. Tree shape difference

The red plum blossom is a variety of plum blossom, with a height of 4-10m, and a light gray and relatively smooth trunk. The new branches are green, smooth and hairless. The height of the crabapple flower is less than 8m, and the trunk is reddish brown or purple brown.

2. The difference between leaves

The leaves of red plum blossom are oval or elliptical, 4-8cm long and 2.5-5cm wide. The leaves of the crabapple flower are oval and oblong, 5-8cm long and 2-3cm wide. Therefore, the leaves of crabapple flowers are slightly narrower than those of red plum blossoms.

3. The difference between flowers

The flowers of red plum blossoms are mostly solitary or in pairs, with a diameter of 2-2.5cm. There are usually 5-8 crabapple flowers growing together, with a diameter of 4-5cm. Therefore, the flowers of crabapple are larger and more compact than those of red plum blossoms.
