What are the trees that bloom in winter?

1. Wintersweet

Plum blossoms usually bloom in spring. But there are some exceptions in the plum blossom family, that is, the wintersweet tree. After comparing the wintersweet blossoms with other plum blossoms, you will find that the difference between them is that we can only see the wintersweet flowers in the cold winter, and they basically bloom in the twelfth lunar month, so people named it "wintersweet". Its petals look waxy yellow, so some people call it yellow plum blossom. But in fact it is not a flower, but a tree.

2. Poinsettia

Poinsettia, also known as the Christmas flower, is a woody plant used as decoration in everyone's home at Christmas. It originally came from a certain color-changing plant in Mexico. Its height is generally between 60 centimeters and 3 meters. If we compare the height of its trunk with that of other trees, we may find it very short because it appears to be much shorter than other trees. Moreover, its bright red color is very vivid and looks very beautiful, making it especially suitable for us to plant at home for daily viewing.

3. Camellia

Camellia, when you hear this name, do you mistakenly think it is a flower or tea? Actually, it is not. It is actually a tree. It is a shrub belonging to the Theaceae family. It looks to be about 8 to 9 meters tall, with delicate branches and leaves without hair. If we want to appreciate its beauty, we can choose to see it from January to April, because its flowering period is exactly at that time.

4. Holly

Holly, also known as northern parasite, is a member of the genus Ilex. Its height varies greatly. The shortest one is only two meters high, which is shorter than many trees, while the tallest one can reach 25 meters high, which is much taller than most trees. It not only has dense branches and leaves, but also has a neat tree shape. It has always been regarded as the guardian of the green environment.
