When does tuberose bloom?

When does tuberose bloom?

1. Flowering period

It has a very strong fragrance when it blooms, and as the name suggests, it usually blooms at night. The specific flowering period is between June and September in summer, and the flowers can bloom for about half a month. Although the flowers are very fragrant when they bloom, be careful not to keep them indoors or in small spaces. Smelling them too much will have adverse effects on the human body.

2. Maintenance methods during flowering period

1. Light: If you want it to bloom better, place it in a well-lit place during the flowering period and get more sun. If placed in a shaded place, the flowers will be very small and the flowering period will be shortened.

2. Temperature: It likes a warm environment. The temperature will drop soon after the flowers bloom. It should be moved to a warm place in time and provide a temperature environment between 9 and 13 degrees. It should be kept warm in winter and controlled above 6 degrees, otherwise it will be frostbitten and fail to bloom normally next year.

3. Changing the soil: It blooms in summer, so the soil should be changed once in April every spring, and the rotten roots should be trimmed off. The soil should be acidic with good drainage, so that it can absorb nutrients better and the flowers will bloom more beautifully.

4. Watering: A lot of water will be consumed during the flowering period, so water it frequently, once or twice a day. When the temperature is high, you should water frequently to maintain humidity. Only with sufficient water can the flowering period last longer.
