How to make preserved flowers

How to make preserved flowers

Prepare the Materials

Flowers, AB solution, scissors, sealable containers, dye

Choose your flowers

When choosing flowers you like, make sure they are fresh and not soaked in water. This is very important.

Pruning flowers

You can trim the flower stems according to the length you need, and cut off the excess leaves according to the number of leaves you want to keep. If there is no requirement, the flower stems can remain about 2 cm long.

Soaking flowers

Pour liquid A into a sealable container, soak the flowers completely in the liquid, and then seal it. The soaking time is 24 hours. When the time is up and you open the sealed jar, if you find that the color of the flowers has not completely turned white, you need to continue soaking. At this time, prepare another sealed jar, pour liquid B into it, and immediately put the flowers taken out of liquid A into liquid B. The time exposed to the air should not exceed 1 minute. Soak in solution B for 36 hours.

Take out and dry

When the time is up, you can take out the flowers and place them in a place where the sun cannot shine in. At the same time, the ventilation should be good and the environment should be dry to dry on their own. It will be completely dry in about a week.

Dyeing production

At this time, the fresh flowers have become Yongsheng flowers, and can be dyed according to the color you need. After dyeing, they also need to be dried by yourself for about 5 days.

Precautions

The above method is suitable for home production; if you want to expose the flower stem, you must dye it separately from the flowers. You can dye the flowers first, and then dye the flower stems after they are dried. The AB liquids and dyes mentioned above are available online or in physical stores.
