Temperature and light

Citrus is a southern fruit tree that prefers a warm and humid growing environment. The suitable growth temperature is about 12-37℃. Requires 4-6 hours of sunshine per day.

Watering

Keep the soil in the pot moist and water thoroughly, preferably with water seeping out of the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot. At the same time, avoid water accumulation and drain water in time, otherwise it will easily cause root rot.

Fertilization

Adhere to the principle of "frequent and light application". Apply decomposed liquid fertilizer once before the plants sprout, and then apply liquid fertilizer every 7-10 days or so, mainly nitrogen fertilizer, to promote its growth and produce more spring shoots. During the growing season of citrus, you can sprinkle some cake fertilizer on the surface of the pot to enhance its fertility. After autumn, gradually reduce fertilization to avoid excess nutrition and fruit drop. Strictly control fertilization in autumn and winter.

soil

Citrus is not very demanding on the soil, so it is appropriate to choose garden soil and add an appropriate amount of river sand, wood ash and decomposed organic fertilizer and mix well.

Plastic pruning

Since potted citrus has limited nutrients, it is necessary to carry out pruning and thin out flowers and fruits in a timely manner. Generally, the pot and soil need to be changed every two years, combined with pruning.
