Three major cultivation methods of daffodils

Three major cultivation methods of daffodils

Hydroponics of daffodils

Hydroponics is the most common way to grow daffodils, so choose a shallow pot. Wash the daffodils clean and make the scales on the outside more beautiful, being careful not to damage the roots. After processing, put it in a flowerpot and pour water on it for maintenance. Place it in a cool place and wait for it to take root. After it takes root, put it in the sun.

When growing daffodils in water, it is best to change the water every day. You can use tap water that has been exposed to the sun. When changing the water, just keep it soaked to a small half of the flower head.

Soil culture method for daffodils

Cultivating and protecting daffodils in soil is actually not very common. When choosing soil, use loose humus soil and plant the daffodil bulbs after processing them.

Put soil in the flowerpot, put the bulbs in after putting some in, and then continue to add soil and compact the soil. Then water it thoroughly and place it in a cool place until the bulb grows roots before exposing it to light.

How to care for daffodils by sand culture

Sand culture method refers to the use of sand to grow daffodils. Choose clean fine sand and a flower pot with good air permeability. Put sand into the flowerpot, place the narcissus bulb in the pot, and then fill it with sand. Note that the daffodil heads should face downwards, and small stones should be placed on top of the sand to make it look more beautiful.

Then place it in a cool place to bloom, and then expose it to light.
