Different forms

The cat's eye arrowroot plant can grow up to 100 cm tall and is also known as arrow feather arrowroot because of its arrow feather-like shape. The back of the cat's eye arrowroot leaf is brown or purple, the leaves are slender, the leaf spots are round, and the leaf edges are wavy. The cat's eye arrowroot has a capitate inflorescence, membranous bracts, a capsule split into three petals, triangular seeds, and light yellow flowers. The height of the peacock plant can reach 60 cm. The leaves of the peacock plant are wide and short, with slender spots. The leaves are thin leathery, the petioles are purple-red, and ovate-elliptical. There are feather-like patterns on the leaves that alternate between dark green and white or light yellow, just like the pattern on a peacock's tail feathers, hence the name. What's more, the leaves of the peacock plant are stretched out during the day and folded up at night, which is its uniqueness.

Suitable temperature is different

The daytime growth temperature of cat's eye arrowroot is 18-21℃, and the nighttime temperature is 16-18℃. The suitable temperature for growth is 20-30℃, and the safe temperature for wintering is 10℃. When cultivating peacock plant, the temperature should be maintained at around 12-29℃, and the temperature in winter should be maintained at 16-18℃.
