Cultivation methods and precautions of wolftail fern

How to grow wolftail fern

Pot soil selection

When growing wolftail ferns, you can choose a flowerpot according to your viewing needs. It can be a tall pot or a spider plant. You can also choose some unique flowerpots, such as a special snake wood pot or a piece of rotten wood. The soil should be mainly breathable and have good drainage, and leaf mold can be used.

Light and temperature

Wolftail fern prefers a semi-shaded growing environment, bright scattered light, and avoids direct sunlight. When growing wolftail ferns at home, you can place potted plants or hanging pots in brightly lit places indoors. Wolftail fern is native to tropical and subtropical regions. The suitable temperature for its growth is between 18℃ and 26℃. It is not resistant to high temperatures or cold. If the temperature of the growing environment of Wolftail Fern is too high or too low, it will lead to poor growth. Be careful not to let the temperature drop below 5℃ in winter.

Watering and fertilizing

The wolftail fern requires moist soil in the pot and needs to maintain sufficient water supply during the growing season. It can be watered every 2-3 days, but be careful not to water too much. This way, the growth environment of the wolftail fern can remain dry, but not too dry. Maintain a certain air humidity, and be careful not to make it too dry. You can increase the air humidity by spraying water. Wolftail fern does not have high requirements for fertilizer and does not like concentrated fertilizer. Generally, when applying fertilizer, you can apply decomposed thin fertilizer water. During the maintenance process, you can also apply some foliar fertilizer.
