Several common problems of potted Cordyceps

Several common problems of potted Cordyceps

What should I pay attention to when planting potted plants?

soil

Potted Cordyceps prefers acidic soil and should be grown in a mixed culture soil with peat soil.

illumination

The growing environment of Cordyline needs sunlight, but not too much light. Cordyline does not like dark environment, so during the cultivation process, increase its scattered light as much as possible to make the leaves red and shiny.

humidity

Potted Cordyline should pay attention to changes in air humidity in summer and water the plants twice a day.

Repotting, pruning

Pay attention to repotting and pruning in early spring to promote branching and make the plant plump and moist overall.

What are the requirements for hydroponics

Root washing

When growing Cordyceps, you should choose healthy plants, clean the roots with clear river water, cut off the rotten and excess roots, put them in a bottle, and add water for cultivation.

Control water level

The water level needs to be lowered appropriately. The water level for hydroponic plants should be low rather than high. During the rooting period, sunlight should be avoided.

Temperature and light

The growth of new roots requires repeated supplementary light, and the room temperature should be kept above 5°C.

How to make the plant shape look good

After the potted Cordyceps sinensis overwintered, the leaves of the old plants fell off, which was very unsightly. Therefore, in order to make the plant fuller, you can prune the plant in spring, cut the diseased stems short, and use cuttings to graft the remaining parts. Then replace the potting soil and replant it. Place the Cordyceps in a semi-shaded place, increase the air humidity, keep the potting soil dry, and apply liquid fertilizer 1-2 times. After a while, it will start to branch and sprout again. The plant that grows in this way will become fuller and the leaves will be renewed.
