Brazilian iron plant likes a warm and humid environment and climate, so it is necessary to maintain a high air humidity when cultivating Brazilian iron plant. Avoid water accumulation, as water accumulation will cause root rot. Do not water too much during normal times, and wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering.

When winter comes and the temperature drops to 13℃, it will enter a dormant period. At this time, you should reduce watering appropriately and keep the soil in the pot moist and dry; if the soil in the pot is too wet for a long time, it will cause root rot and death of the plant.

Fertilization

The requirements of Brazilian ironwood for fertilizer are not high. During the growth period of young plants, apply thin liquid fertilizer once every 15 days; during the growth period of mature plants, fertilize once every 2 months. Fertilization should be mainly based on phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer, but more nitrogen fertilizer can be applied.
