What to do after hydroponic tulips bloom

What to do after hydroponic tulips bloom

1. Flowering time

The flowering time of this flower growing in different latitudes will be different, but the general time is concentrated from late March to early May. The flowers in our East China region can be planted in September to October, and will bloom from March to May of the following year. It is best to plant it in late September in North China, and it will bloom in March to April of the following year. In some places abroad, this flower is grown using their modified methods and can bloom from March to August.

2. How to care after flowering

1. The operation of hydroponically growing this kind of flowers is very simple, and it will be very neat and look beautiful. Without soil, it will look even cleaner.

2. Before this flower is about to bloom, it will grow three to four leaves, and then buds will slowly grow. When adding fertilizer, remember to use boron fertilizer so that the flowers will be bright. Also, pay attention to the temperature nearby to be adjusted to 17 degrees Celsius so that the flowers will bloom better.

3. About seven days after the flower bud grows out, it will bloom. After it blooms, put it in a place where it cannot be directly exposed to sunlight, so that the flowering time can be extended.

4. After the flowers have withered, cut them off two to three centimeters below the flowers. Be sure not to cut them too long and do not cut the leaves. If it is a rainy day, don't water too much, otherwise the roots will rot.

5. If you plan to continue hydroponically growing flowers in the second year, you need to strengthen its roots for at least two months. Wait until the leaves and stems of the flowers have all turned yellow, take out the bulbs and remove the leaves and stems, and you can continue planting in the second year.

3. Notes

1. Generally speaking, if you buy bulbs at the flower market and you don’t help them to grow stronger, they can only be used for one year and will not be able to continue blooming in the second year.

2. If the temperature where you place the bulbs is too high, and the temperature is not suitable when the flower buds appear, the development of the flowers will be abnormal, and the chance of flowering will be reduced.

3. If the water and fertilizer of your hydroponic tulips are not properly controlled, for example, too much water or no phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are added, it will be difficult for it to bloom or the flowers it blooms will be of low quality.
