Common varieties of freesia

White Freesia

The leaves and bracts are wider than those of other varieties. The flowers are large and pure white. The perianth is divided into several pieces by lobes, each piece is similar in shape and size. The flower tube gradually narrows and is yellow inside.

Yellow Freesia

The leaves are broad and lanceolate, 4 to 5 in number, each 15 cm long and 1.5 cm wide. There are white membranous leaf tips at the base, the flowers are broad, short, and bell-shaped, and emit a lily-of-the-valley fragrance when they bloom. The flowers are large and bright yellow, with orange-red edges and throats. There are 3 to 7 flowers on each inflorescence, and they are gorgeous when blooming.

Freesia

It is also called red-flowered freesia and long-stemmed freesia. The leaves are usually 40 to 60 cm long, with strong flower stems and many branches. It is a medium-sized plant with a height of about 50 cm. During maintenance, care should be taken to avoid excessive growth. The flower tube is orange, the throat is orange-red, and the surrounding of the petals is purple-pink. The flowering period is later than that of ordinary varieties.
