How to cultivate jade tree

How to cultivate jade tree

1. Potting soil

When growing, it is best to use porcelain pots, ceramic pots, clay pots or plastic pots. The size of the pot should be about the same size as the plant, avoid being too large or too small. The soil should be sufficiently breathable and preferably have a certain degree of drainage, because the plant is very afraid of waterlogging, and poor drainage will affect the growth of the plant.

2. Watering

Jade plant requires more water during its growth stage. Keep the soil slightly moist to avoid excessive dryness of the potting soil. The weather is relatively hot in summer, so you can water more, but you must pay attention to ventilation and the maintenance environment should not be too stuffy. In late autumn, you need to slowly control the amount of water and keep the growing soil slightly dry.

3. Temperature

The temperature suitable for plant growth is between 20-30℃, and the temperature in spring and autumn is more suitable. The temperature of the maintenance environment cannot be too high, otherwise the plant will temporarily stop growing. In winter, proper insulation is needed and the temperature should be adjusted to above 7℃. Too low a temperature will affect the plant's wintering.

4. Pruning

During the maintenance period, it is very likely that crossed branches, long branches, and some branches that affect the appearance will appear due to incorrect maintenance methods. They should be cut off in time when discovered. Densely growing branches should also be thinned out in time, otherwise the plants will be susceptible to diseases and pests due to lack of air permeability.
