Can a fortune tree be placed in the bedroom?

1. Can the fortune tree be placed in the bedroom?

The money tree can be placed in the bedroom. From a health perspective, it has no toxicity and will not harm our health if placed in the bedroom. Not only that, it can also absorb harmful gases such as formaldehyde and carbon monoxide in the air, which is beneficial to our health and can improve the air quality in the bedroom. The money tree has lush branches and leaves and a beautiful shape. It can be placed in the bedroom to decorate the home and beautify the environment, and it has high ornamental value. Please note that you can only place one money tree in the bedroom, because the money tree absorbs oxygen at night. Placing too many money trees will compete with people for oxygen, thus affecting sleep.

2. How to grow a fortune tree indoors

1. Get more sun: The money tree likes light and can tolerate slight shade. When keeping it indoors, it is best to place it in a bright place with more diffuse light so that it can carry out photosynthesis better, resulting in vigorous growth and better flowering. Note that it is afraid of exposure to the sun. The light in summer is too strong and must be blocked in time, otherwise it is easy to get sunburned.

2. Water in moderation: The money tree has a certain degree of drought resistance and is afraid of waterlogging. During the breeding period, it is best to wait until the soil is completely dry before watering. Watering thoroughly each time is fine. It is strictly forbidden to have water accumulation, otherwise the roots will easily rot. If the environment is relatively dry, you can spray water on the money tree frequently to increase the humidity. It will grow better when the humidity is above 70%.

3. Suitable temperature: The money tree prefers a warm environment and has very poor cold resistance. The temperature is low after winter, so the temperature must be appropriate for indoor maintenance. It is best to place it in a heated room, and the minimum temperature must be stable at above 10°C. This will ensure its safe wintering. Note that ventilation must be strengthened during the high temperature period in summer. Staying in a stuffy indoor environment for a long time can easily lead to infection by pests and diseases.

4. Reasonable top dressing: The money tree consumes a lot of nutrients during the peak growth season, so it needs frequent top dressing to ensure sufficient nutrients. It is best to apply diluted liquid fertilizer once every 20 days, and apply thin fertilizer frequently. Note that you should stop applying fertilizer in winter and do not apply concentrated or raw fertilizer.
