1. Meaning

Nanmu was something that the dignitaries in ancient times all desired to own. They all considered it an honor to have a reception room made of nanmu. Nanmu symbolizes nobility and luxury, and is a symbol of status.

II. Introduction

Nanmu is a precious timber tree species unique to my country. It used to be distributed in small quantities in Sichuan, but due to long-term uncontrolled logging, this species is on the verge of extinction. Most of the remaining ones are artificially cultivated semi-natural forests and scenic protection forests.

3. Morphological characteristics

The plant of Nanmu can be more than 30 meters tall. Its leaves are oblong or narrow oval, about 5 to 11 centimeters long and 1.5 to 4 centimeters wide. The tip of the leaves gradually becomes pointed, the base is wedge-shaped, and the surface is shiny.
