The Flower Language of AgeratumThe flower language of Ageratum is respect. It is the guardian flower of Scorpio and the birthday flower of those born on August 14. The legend of AgeratumLegend has it that the purple flowers of Ageratum were transformed from a fairy, while the white flowers were transformed from a mortal. A long, long time ago, there lived an herbalist named Zichas beside Zeus, the emperor of heaven. He was tall and handsome, and was responsible for collecting precious herbs from the mortal world. One day, Zeus fell seriously ill, so he ordered Zeus to go to the mortal world to collect herbs for his treatment, and ordered him to return to heaven within a month. On a bright afternoon, when Zichas was collecting herbs in the forest, he encountered a big black bear. He was attacked by the beast and injured. At this moment, a hunting girl passing by rescued him. This girl is Bai'er. She has been lonely and helpless since childhood. She lives alone in a small cabin in the forest and makes a living by hunting. Bai'er took Zichas back to her cabin, treated his wounds and took care of him. During this time, love naturally developed between the two. But soon the one-month deadline was up, and Zeus, the god of heaven, discovered that not only had Zichas not completed his mission, but he had even been with a little girl. He was furious, and ordered Thor to execute the two and abandon their bodies in the wilderness. Thor obeyed the order of the Emperor of Heaven and struck the two with thunder. In order to protect his beloved girl, Zichas asked Bai'er to wear the lightning protection clothes given to him by Apollo, but he was killed by lightning. Bai'er took off the lightning protection clothes sadly and died with his lover. Their bodies were abandoned in the forest. Fortunately, the kind goddess Venus could not bear to see their bodies being eaten by wild beasts, so she turned the lovers into a tall purple ageratum and a petite white ageratum respectively, allowing them to live in the forest forever. |
