1. Why do we need to constantly add water to plants?

The water level of water-grown flowers should be controlled low rather than high, with one-third to one-half of the root system submerged in water, and the root and rhizome of the plant should be submerged in water. During the water culture process, the plants will consume some water through transpiration of the leaves, and the container will also evaporate some water through the openings. Therefore, after a period of cultivation, the water in the container will decrease and the water level will drop, so it is necessary to replenish water in a timely manner. Supplementing water can increase the content of oxygen ions in the root environment, which is beneficial to the development of the root system.

2. Why should we change water for plants regularly?

Changing the water for hydroponic flowers regularly or irregularly is also one of the key points in plant management to keep the water solution fresh. The culture water can be spring water, well water, etc. Tap water should be left to stand for a day or two before use. The time for changing water can be determined according to the specific conditions of the culture. Generally, the water can be changed every 3-5 days in spring and summer; and every two weeks in autumn and winter. If the water is pure and clean, and the plants and roots are growing well, you can extend the water change time by simply replenishing the evaporated water.
