Last time Huahua went to the market and discovered a new type of vegetable. It looked like an eggplant in appearance, but looked a bit like an egg if you looked closely. Huahua asked the vegetable seller and found out that this vegetable is called "egg eggplant" and it has a high nutritional value. The key is that it can be grown in a pot at home. How convenient is that! The method of caring for egg eggplant in potted plants is not very difficult. Huahua will introduce it to you below, so that everyone can harvest such nutritious potted vegetables when they go home. 1. Soil selectionThe best soil for growing egg eggplant is nutrient soil with good air permeability and drainage, so that the egg eggplant will grow faster after sowing. If you can't find nutritious soil, soil like leaf mold will also work. Egg tomato is actually not very picky about the planting environment, and the survival rate is not low! 2. Light intensityBecause egg eggplant is a potted vegetable, it requires more light. If you are maintaining it at home, you can place it on a south-facing balcony so that it can absorb more sunlight and naturally more energy. If the egg eggplant grows in a relatively dark environment for a long time, the branches and leaves will not grow tall and the fruits will not be too large compared to others, so remember to maintain sufficient light! 3. How much wateringAfter the egg eggplant is successfully planted, it needs to be watered thoroughly so that it can germinate and grow as quickly as possible. In summer, because the temperature is too high, the frequency of watering should be as high as once a day. When the weather turns cooler in spring and autumn, you can change to watering once every 3 days. In winter, the weather is cold and water evaporates slowly, so you only need to water once every 5 days. If you maintain this watering frequency, I believe that the eggplant potted plants at home will bear fruit in about 3 months! 4. Amount of fertilizerThe fruits of egg tomatoes can usually be harvested in about 3 months, which means that its growth rate is very fast, so additional fertilizer is inevitable. We can apply some nitrogen fertilizer to the egg eggplant before it bears fruit. After it bears fruit, we can add some fertilizers containing phosphorus and potassium on the original basis. In this way, the fruits of the egg eggplant will be very full. But remember not to apply too much fertilizer, otherwise the root system will be burned and all your efforts will be in vain! If you are a flower lover, you can go to the market to buy some seeds, go home and plant and grow them yourself. The fruits you harvest are much more nutritious than eggs. If you’re interested, take action now while the autumn weather is cool! |
