What's wrong with the curled leaves of the snake plant? Can it be restored?

1. Lack of water

Tiger Piraja grows in a humid environment. If there is insufficient water, the leaves will easily curl up. However, the plant has a certain degree of drought resistance, so do not water it too much to avoid affecting the breathing of the roots. Usually, you need to add water in time after the soil is completely dry, and water it sufficiently each time. It can be kept moist in summer, and water needs to be controlled appropriately after autumn, which can also help keep out the cold.

2. The temperature is too low

Tiger Piranha is a plant that is very afraid of cold. The temperature should be controlled between 20-30℃ and should not be lower than 10℃ in winter, otherwise it will be frostbitten and cause the leaves to curl. In winter, the plant needs to be moved to a warm room, or a bag should be placed on it to help keep it warm. It should be noted that although it is warm indoors in the north, the plant should not be placed too close to the heater, otherwise the side close to it will lose water and affect its growth.

3. Soil compaction

Sansevieria is not very demanding on the soil, but if the soil is not changed for a long time, it will easily cause the soil to become compacted, which will affect the penetration of water and is not conducive to the growth of the root system, thus causing the leaves to curl. The soil should be loosened regularly and the pot should be changed every two years. When changing the pot, new potting soil should be prepared with garden soil and coal slag to ensure that the soil is loose and has good air permeability.

4. Strong light

Tiger Piranha likes light but is afraid of strong light. Once exposed to the sun, the leaves of the plant will curl up. In summer, you need to put it in a semi-shaded place, or provide shade to avoid being exposed to the sun. However, it cannot be completely deprived of light, otherwise its leaves will become dark and look lifeless. It is better to provide bright scattered light.
