How to prune newly grown Kalanchoe

How to prune newly grown Kalanchoe

1. Pruning new branches

The newly grown Kalanchoe is a seedling that has just been grafted. In order to make it grow into a fuller shape, the top pair of leaves should be left in the seedling stage and the new branches above should be completely cut off, so that the two buds of the bottom pair of leaves will sprout.

2. Prune tender shoots

After sprouting and growing, leave 1-2 pairs of leaves and cut off the tender shoots on top. Four more branches will sprout from the two lower branches. After pruning 2-3 times, a plump plant with 8-10 branches will be formed, which will form a plump large flower ball when it blooms.
