Reasons why camellia leaves fall off after repotting

Reasons why camellia leaves fall off after repotting

1. Wrong time

Reason: Camellia needs to be repotted after a period of time, but if the time of repotting is not appropriate, the plant will not adapt, its growth will be affected, and the leaves will naturally fall off.

Solution: Try to repot in spring. If you repot in other seasons, the temperature needs to be adjusted.

2. The pot soil is not suitable

Reason: When repotting camellia, you must choose a suitable pot and soil. If these two are not suitable for camellia, then after planting in the pot, the camellia will naturally find it difficult to adapt and will also drop its leaves.

Solution: Try to choose flower pots made of breathable materials, and the drainage holes at the bottom can drain water normally. The soil should be loose and breathable, and nutritious sandy soil can be used.

3. Root damage

Cause: If the roots are accidentally damaged during the repotting process, this situation may also occur after planting.

Solution: When repotting, be careful and slowly comb and trim the roots. If you find root damage, apply rooting agent to nourish the roots.

4. Improper maintenance

Reason: After repotting, if the maintenance method is not appropriate, it may also cause leaf falling, such as excessive water accumulation, strong sun exposure, etc.

Solution: Move the camellia to a suitable environment, expose it to soft diffuse light, and spray it with water appropriately, and it will recover after a while.
