1. Too much watering

Reason: Although the lucky tree likes a humid environment, too much watering will often lead to water accumulation. When water accumulates, the roots cannot breathe, causing the young shoots to turn black.

Solution: Be careful not to accumulate water during normal watering, and check whether the soil is compacted. If so, loosen the soil in time, which can also increase drainage.

2. Poor ventilation

Reason: Poor air circulation leads to excessive humidity, and the growth of bacteria can easily lead to root rot, causing the young shoots to turn black.

Solution: Place the plant in a well-ventilated place. If it has been infected, the roots need to be pruned and the pruned areas should be coated with carbendazim to avoid secondary infection.

3. Insufficient light

Reason: The lucky tree is a light-loving plant. Long-term lack of light will cause the leaves to turn yellow and the young shoots to turn black.

Solution: Place the lucky tree in a sunny place where it can receive sunlight all day. If the light is too strong, you can provide shade and remember to spray water to cool it down.

4. Fertilizer is too concentrated

Cause: The fertilizer is too concentrated, causing root damage, which in turn causes the sprouts to turn black.

Solution: Remove the plant from the pot promptly and check whether the roots are damaged. If so, clean and prune them. Also, replace the soil when replanting to prevent residual fertilizer from further damaging the roots. Fertilizer should be diluted when applied normally, and it is sufficient to apply it once every 30 days during the growing season.
