What to do if the leaves of Fuchsia are drying and falling off

What to do if the leaves of Fuchsia are drying and falling off

1. Watering in time

Reason: Lack of water will cause the leaves of the fuchsia to dry up and fall off, and the overall growth of the plant will also be sluggish.

Solution: Water the plants promptly and water them thoroughly each time, but avoid water accumulation. In addition, check whether the soil is compacted. If so, loosen the soil. And in the future, you should check the dryness and wetness of the soil regularly to avoid water shortage from happening again.

2. Fertilize frequently

Cause: Insufficient fertilization causes the fuchsia to lack nutrients, which in turn causes the leaves to dry up and fall off.

Solution: Fuchsia needs to be fertilized frequently with thin fertilizers. Generally, a thin cake fertilizer or compound fertilizer should be applied once every 10 days. It should be noted that the soil must be dry before fertilizing. At the same time, the fertilizer should not drip onto the leaves, otherwise it will cause corrosion.

3. Improve soil quality

Reason: Since fuchsia grows best in acidic soil, alkalinity of the soil will lead to unfavorable growth, which will cause the leaves to dry and fall off.

Solution: You can add a certain amount of ferrous sulfate into the water, with the content between 0.5% and 1%. It can improve the alkalinity of the soil, and the iron element also promotes the growth of fuchsia.

4. Increase Lighting

Cause: Insufficient light causes the fuchsia to grow poorly, causing its leaves to dry out and fall off.

Solution: Move the potted plant to a sunny location and allow it to receive sufficient sunlight every day. It should be noted that when the plant is growing poorly, it should not be exposed to direct sunlight. It needs to be placed in scattered light first and then placed in the sun after it recovers.
