What to do if the daffodil buds wilt

What to do if the daffodil buds wilt

1. Reduce light

If it is grown in a place with sufficient light all the time, it will cause the flower buds to dry up and wilt prematurely. You can reduce the sunlight exposure appropriately, place it in semi-shaded place for maintenance, and expose it to soft scattered light during growth. This can prolong the wilting time and can alleviate the symptoms of some buds that have already wilted.

2. Stable temperature

When you find that the flower buds are showing signs of wilting, you can adjust the temperature appropriately. The surrounding temperature should not be too high, and it is best not to exceed 25℃. This way the growth can be stable and it will not wilt prematurely. Also, the temperature must be kept stable, not fluctuating. It is best to keep it within a range, which will have a beneficial effect on growth.

3. Clean water

If the flower buds wilt, you can observe the water quality to see if the water has not been changed for a long time, resulting in an unclean growing environment. You can pour out the water inside and replace it with new clean water, and also pay attention to changing the water during subsequent maintenance to keep it clean.

4. Switch to soil culture

For plants grown in water, there is a greater possibility of wilting. If there are already signs of this, you can transfer it to soil cultivation. You can also take it out of the pot, put it aside to dry, and then wait until the next quarter to plant it again.
