Why do green radish leaves have spots?

Why do green radish leaves have spots?

1. Causes of spots

If spots appear on the leaves of the green radish, it is very likely that it has been attacked by leaf spot disease. The main reason is that it has not seen sunlight for a long time and the air humidity is high. If the plant is kept in a closed and unventilated environment for a long time, coupled with relatively humid air humidity, it will be infected. At the beginning, there will be a small amount of brown spots on the leaves, which will turn into black spots as the disease progresses.

2. Treatment methods

After discovering spots on the leaves of the green radish, the first thing to do is to isolate the plants and cut off the leaves with spots. It is best to replace the soil with clean one and replant it, otherwise there will be bacteria in it and it will be infected again. In normal times, you should strengthen ventilation and open windows more often when you are indoors. There should be no accumulated moisture in the potting soil. If the situation is serious, you can spray an appropriate amount of carbendazim or thiophanate-methyl, and use it 2-3 times in a row.

3. Notes

1. After removing the diseased leaves, they must be burned as soon as possible. If they are placed next to the potted plants after pruning, the plants will be infected by bacteria again.

2. It needs to receive appropriate light during the maintenance period. You can provide it with some scattered light every day, but it should not be exposed to the scorching sun. The indoor air should not be too humid.
