What is the reason why the leaves of tiger lily become soft?

What is the reason why the leaves of tiger lily become soft?

1. Strong light exposure

Reason: Tiger Piranha is a shade-tolerant plant that does not require too much sunlight. If it is exposed to direct sunlight or strong sunlight, it will form sun spots or yellow leaves, and the leaves will become soft.

Solution: Move the plant to a shaded and ventilated place or perform shading treatment, and place it in a sunny place with soft light in the morning and evening.

2. Water frequently

Reason: It is a desert plant that does not need too much water. Watering too frequently will cause root rot, yellow leaves, etc.

Solution: When watering, follow the principle of preferring dryness to wetness. If the soil is loose, water it 1-2 times a week. In winter, water it once a week. If there is too much water, you can place it in a ventilated place and raise the bottom of the pot.

3. Temperature is too low

Reason: It has relatively high requirements for temperature. Generally, when the temperature is lower than 13℃, it will enter a dormant period and stop growing. Over time, the plant will grow poorly and the leaves will become soft and yellow.

Solution: Keep the temperature at 20-30℃ as much as possible to maintain its normal growth; the minimum temperature in winter should not be lower than 10℃, otherwise the plant will be frozen, which can easily cause the death of the whole plant.

4. Pests and diseases

Cause: Plants infected with some diseases and pests can also cause the leaves to become soft, such as bacterial soft rot, which causes the leaves of the plant to be light yellow-green or gray-yellow, and water-soaked soft rot spots will appear on the stems close to the ground.

Solution: Remove diseased leaves in time and spray 600 times diluted green copper milk once every 7-10 days for 1-2 months.
