How to grow pennywort more vigorously?

Pennywort is a plant with extremely strong vitality. Whether it is hydroponically placed in a glass bottle or grown in soil in a pot, it can show vigorous growth momentum. This plant is easy to care for and adapts to a variety of maintenance methods. Let’s learn how to grow pennywort to make it grow more vigorously.

1. Lighting

The pennywort prefers plenty of sunlight. The warm sunlight can make its leaves greener and more shiny, and promote the growth of more new leaves. In a well-lit environment such as a terrace, the pennywort can enjoy at least 5-6 hours of direct sunlight, so that the leaves that grow will not only be large but also round and bright. In contrast, in places with less light indoors, the leaves of the pennywort will be relatively small and not full enough. Therefore, moving the pennywort out of the room in spring and allowing it to receive more natural light is the key to promoting its good growth.

2. Moisture

Like lucky bamboo, spider plant and mint , pennywort prefers moist soil conditions. If you forget to water it for a long time and the soil becomes dry, the stems of the pennywort will become soft and the leaves may dry out. But as long as it replenishes water in time, it can quickly recover its vitality. Especially in spring and summer, pennywort has a greater demand for water and needs to be watered almost every day.

3. Fertilizer

Because pennywort grows quickly, many new leaves may sprout within a day in spring, so it needs sufficient fertilizer support. Regular application of organic fertilizers such as fermented leaf soil, pine needle soil or cake fertilizer, or use of fermented liquid fertilizer, diluted and watered once every ten days, can promote its continued healthy growth and make the leaves wider and greener.

To sum up, pennywort is a plant with clear requirements for light, water and fertilizer. As long as these conditions are met, it can thrive.
